for those living in the few privileged areas where radar detectors are deemed illegal, is it illegal to have it in the car even if you shut it off? i heard stories of confiscation, but don't know if its just exaggeration. everytime i drive to virginia (nova) to see my girl i see the damn "radar detectors illegal" sign plastered all over the highway (95,495). also, how would cops know you have one anyway? my V1 claims to have VG2 protecting capabilities, but i'm not exactly sure what this means. do cops have detectors for our detectors? if so, would the V1 go undetected? thanks.
